| - I'm writing a review of this hotel instead of getting some much needed rest because there is a barking dog across the hall, and a passing train rattling the windows of my room on the 14th floor. I needed to stay overnight near U. Pitt, so I booked a hotel via Priceline. Got a relatively good price on this supposed 3.5 star hotel, so I couldn't complain, but I wanted to emphasize the point that I didn't choose this particular hotel. I did not check into the hotel until it was dark, so I wasn't aware that it was right next to the train tracks, nor did I know that it was "pet friendly." Not that I have anything against pets, but when a dog starts barking and whining next door while you are trying to recover from a long drive, it gets a bit irritating. Furthermore, the intermittently passing trains that wake you up only exacerbate the situation. I will say that the view of the city across the river is pretty, especially at night though, which is what I will probably doing the rest of this night....
