| - In the mid 1980s, we used to take our parrot and ferret here for veterinary care. Even then, we were grateful for their caring and knowledge, and the extra care they gave our ferret when she was very ill. Fast forward 30 years, we've moved to the north side of Madison and use a different veterinarian, five minutes from home, for our dogs. For the last several months, while my father in law has been in a nursing home, we've also caring for my father in law's rose breasted cockatoo. She recently started picking feathers and picked a large hole in her chest and was bleeding and we were concerned. They still had our information in their system. They got Rosie in the same day, and took excellent care of her. He asked many questions about her living arrangements, whether she seems to be bonded with us, what food she eats, what toys she has, etc, trying to get to the root of the problem rather than just treating the problem. Dr. Smith even called later in the week to find out how she was doing and to answer any questions, and called again a few days later with more information. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the knowledge and care within this veterinary practice. Thank you so much for everything you do!
