  • Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of Jim Noble's, dating back to the original Noble's restaurant. Also, this is my fourth time eating at Roosters, but my fist time eating lunch, and my first time back in several years. Each time that I've eaten dinner at Roosters I've greatly enjoyed my food and experience....until now. A group from work decided to grab lunch at the South Park location today. While the menu options looked great, the food itself was not. We started off with a few appetizers: calamari and fried livers. The calamari also tasted undercooked as it was soggy and not very crispy. The bigger issue was the livers, which were okay until I realized what I had just eaten was still uncooked with blood dripping from the center of the liver. I let the server know and they removed this item from the bill. I'm not sure what type of response I expected, I just thought that the reaction and response, or lack there of, wasn't adequate knowing that a customer had just ingested undercooked chicken. For my meal, I asked the server for his recommendation. He told us, "without a doubt" the prime rib sandwich is the way to go. So, several of us ordered the prime rib sandwich, which was one of the specials. To make a long story short, it was not good. It wasn't terrible, just not what I would expect from a Jim Noble restaurant, or from a sandwich that cost over $15. Also, the side Caesar salad was very mediocre. All in all, I was very disappointed with Roosters. Hopefully, I won't also end up with food poisoning to accompany the disappointment.
