How could this place get a 4...it's so awesome! 5 stars all the way. This is a quaint hidden gem with delicious authentic Cajun cuisine. I usually go to Cajun Queen because of the convenience and they also offer I standing Groupon deal but this is definitely the better of the two.
I have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. It is very small and you generally have to wait if you come here on a weekend for dinner but it is so worth the wait.
Though their specialty is Cajun food it definitely has a soul food flair. I could honestly just come here and just eat sides. They have the best cabbage I've ever had in my life and their Fried Chicken is to die for.
Tonight I opted for the special because it looked way too good to pass up and it came with two sides. It was a blackened sea bass top with blackened shrimp and a sea crab sauce. Whatever you're thinking it tasted 10 times better.
If I had to find one fault it would be that they do not have a full bar however they do have beer and wine and they have some great local beer from New Orleans. Get the Dixie Voodoo. Trust me you won't be disappointed!
