Venturing around this Downtown Aurora isn't the most exciting activity to do for a Visitor. There are some places that can let you get-away from it all into an Oasis and at Bonsai it's a Zen Tea Shop.
Inside is the single patient friendly Owner that does it all himself even when a few patrons await his services at any one time. We arrived to see a person buying multiple Loose Leaf Teas from the smaller selection available for smelling at a couple shelfs.
A couple of Students unpacked their Textbooks nonchalant while we did our thing overlooking a Group having their Tea Time. I was just simply happy to browse the Wall Arts of Chinese Folk Art and Chinese Paintings that makes this place so soothing and different from Downtown Toronto Cafes that display local abstract Western Paintings. 3.5 *Star*
The Gentleman comes over when he's free and assisted us to make a Tea choice of Green Tea and White Tea which is prepared in a French Press. He offers refill when Water runs low in the French Press. There's enough seating for 5 groups or so with more Afternoon Tea area near the Front Window. Btw, Traditional English Afternoon Tea(By Reservations)
Coffee/Cappuccino comes from a semi-automatic espresso machine but most probably choose that over Tea only if they had too much Tea prior to arrival. Loose Leaf Tea selection is enough of a choice but in comparison to some of the ones I've been, it's not quite that wide in choice.
Nice relaxing Tea Shop excellent for my Friend to daydream...
