  • This business is a combination restaurant, ice cream parlor and coffee shop that is in a shared space with a pizza parlor, which illustrates pretty well that they've covered all the bases. It's a clean, spacious place that's stylish and functional. They have a flatscreen on the wall with ESPN on at low volume, tables, couches and bookshelves and bulletin boards that always have interesting events and business posted. They are across the street from St. Joseph's hospital and you'll often see hospital workers show up for coffee or lunch in their scrubs. Which is why I appreciate that their chairs are hard plastic and couches are vinyl/pleather that clean easy and the workers do keep it immaculately clean here. Sorry nurses, but your scrubs are a germ factory. The ice cream here is the most well-presented part of their menu and when you walk in you're instantly drawn to the bright colors and sprinkles. Frozen display cases show off chocolate covered popsicle concoctions including: chocolate covered frozen bacon on a stick, chocolate covered cheesecake wedges on a stick, chocolate covered frozen bananas, chocolate covered peanut butter lollipops, and mix-n-match ice cream sandwiches. They have a good selection of scoopable ice cream too, mixed with experimental flavors (pear gorgonzola, blue moon, guiness stout, pineapple habanero) as well as traditional flavors. The coffee they use (a local roaster called "Passport") is the best coffee I've tasted in my life. I love black coffee, so I'm partial to bold dark roasts or blends that are just flavorful, and their iced americano has hints of toffee that make for a great tasting drink. I've tried a few of their breakfast and lunch dishes too and have been happy each time. Their breakfast burrito is hearty and their wraps are outstanding. I like their lox'n'bagel dish better than einstein's and I also like that one of the side dish options they give with your lunch is a greek yogurt & fresh fruit side. The staff is very friendly and creative with their dishes, and it's a great place for breakfast, lunch, coffee or dessert.
