| - I figure that it's time to update my review. I'm giving my local Starbucks 4.5 stars.
This location still remains the closest to my home. I go through the drive-thru regularly.
In the past, with all Starbucks locations in Canada, if I wanted to order my regular drink, which is a grande iced green tea that is unsweetened, I would get the drink with lemonade. Um, hello? I did I mention lemonade? Noooooo. I would get pretty steamed about the automatic addition of way-too-sweet lemonade.
I love lemons. Just don't like the lemonade in my iced green tea, that's all.
Since the Starbucks app kicked in with mobile orders, I don't have this problem anymore. I order, drive over, say my name (it's like a Beyonce theme here), and I get my drink.
To be fair, with the entire lemonade saga, there have been a handful of baristas who know me so well as a regular that they will know not to add lemonade. Alice and Cecilia are consistently great at remembering this detail.
Last Saturday, my boyfriend and I had breakfast here. First, I must have scared all the baristas who recognized me, minus my car. I rarely come into the store. They finally know how tall I am! Second, they knew my name and chatted with me.
Alice was there. She admitted that both my blue car and my voice made their job easier in getting my mobile order when I go through the drive-thru. Both my boyfriend and I ordered my regular drink. She made sure that there wasn't any lemonade in our drinks, which I truly appreciate and don't take for granted.
We also ordered the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich (me) and egg whites wrap with feta and spinach (him). They were yummy, as expected.
I felt good that I have established a rapport with many baristas here. My boyfriend knows that I frequent Starbucks often. He was happy that we both got treated like rock stars. I liked that added touch, too. Even the stickers on our food and drinks had my name on it. I felt like Norm from Cheers, but in a booze-free environment.
This Starbucks is kind of like my second home. I'm treated well. I have been here so often that I might as well get a brick named after me!
