  • We took the Grand Canyon Sunset Tour with Bret in December 2014 and LOVED it! It was absolutely incredible from start to finish, the best day of our vacation. We will remember the experience for the rest of our lives!!! Don't miss it! THE GUIDE - Bret was an amazing, attentive, and enthusiastic tour guide! The tour guide makes all the difference in your experience, and I'm so glad that we had Bret as our guide. He genuinely loves the desert landscape and shares interesting geographical information so it's very educational. He also went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and happy. My husband and I are a little annoying when we travel (I like frequent bathroom and food breaks, and we take a long time looking at things), and Bret was so accommodating and patient. He took dozens of photos for us that day, and he's a skilled photographer. Highly recommend Bret - he is a star! THE SIGHTS - GORGEOUS. Every American should see the Grand Canyon if they have the chance. It is a national treasure. We were worried that it would be chilly during our December tour, but it turned out to be just fine (50ish degrees). The colors were gorgeous and subtle, and it was magical to see in the wintertime. We also got amazing photos that we treasure. THE VAN. I'm a finicky traveler and was worried than a van wouldn't be as comfy as a Greyhound bus, but it ended up being very comfortable and smooth. I am so glad that we took this tour. A bus tour ends up wasting a lot of time, because you have to wait for tons of people to get on and off - but a van is cozy, efficient, and very comfortable. We spread out in our seats and felt totally at home during the entire drive. THE FOOD & RESTROOMS. The food was yummy yummy yummy! We had a full breakfast at McDonald's (we never eat McDonald's and it was a nice excuse to!), the most DELICIOUS lunch from Arby's (the Market Fresh sandwiches are really fresh, and the tour company packs fresh grapes, cheese and crackers, and scrumptious cookies). We gobbled it all up! The restrooms are also really clean and frequent. OVERALL - Highly recommend! The tour went off without a hitch, and remains a cherished memory for my husband and I. Thank you so much Grand-Adventures and Bret for an unforgettable day!
