| - Hard to believe that it's been over a year since I first reviewed Little Tokyo! After paying them another regular visit last night I figured it was time for an update!
Little Tokyo remains my favorite sushi place in Pittsburgh. You really can't beat the service, the food, or the prices! As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted with a smile and cheerful hello before promptly being seated. You'll also notice as you walk by the sushi bar that the sushi chefs will nod and greet you as well! How they manage to do that at the same time they are making their amazing sushi is beyond me!
I rarely every get anything other than the spicy scallop roll and the black marlin tuna roll. They are my two absolute favorites, though sometimes I will add in some tuna sushi, a miso soup, or a seaweed salad. All are excellent! On last night's visit, my boyfriend opted to add the Dean Roll to our regular order, and it was a great choice. This roll has NO rice, which I thought was interesting... but it was so good! It's spicy tuna wrapped in rice paper, topped with avocado. That's it! It's very simple and refreshing, though it will run you $12.95. However, considering the quantity of quality spicy tuna you're getting, I'd say it's well worth the pricetag.
If you haven't been here yet, I have one question for you: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Little Tokyo has my heart... and though there are other Asian bistros and sushi restaurants in the city and on Carson Street, LT remains my favorite for so many reasons.
