| - By far the best massage experience I've ever had!
I've been having a lot of hip pain throughout my pregnancy. Between the 25lbs I've gained in 7 months, and probably the fact that I'm still lifting weights; things have been a little out of whack. My better half(who is just way too good to me) set me up with a gift card to come in and have a prenatal massage.
Right away, I really like that Massage Envy has you fill out a short questionnaire about how you would like your session to go. Basically just finding out where you're having issues, where you'd like the focus to be, and what type of pressure would you like in those spots. I've never had anyone in the past personalize a massage this way, and I just felt that it helped everything go smoothly.
Mary was perfect during my prenatal massage. She checked in here and there to make sure that the amount of pressure she provided was good with me, and made it a very comfortable session. For someone, like me, who HATES being touched, I was a little concerned that this would be an hour of hell like every other 60 minute rub-down I've ever had. Luckily, I felt totally comfortable with Mary. I was bummed once it ended because I probably could have laid there for another 5 hours.
After my appointment, I just left with a little bit of a bad taste due to how hard the front desk tries to sell you on memberships, and packages, and gift cards. I just wanted to pay and leave and one sales pitch after another was shot my way. It was a little annoying, but it wont prevent me from returning in the future.
