  • If I could post a review with NO stars I would do so. While negotiating a price on a 2018 4Runner. The Sales Manager, Cassidy Russell, provided me with a price sheet including the options I requested and the out the door price. We were $3,000 apart so I offered to split the difference. Mr. Russell went back to the computers and recalculated the price, presenting me with a new quote that reduced the vehicle price by $1,500. However, I noticed the out the door price was the same as before. I requested to see the previous quote sheet which he presented. I immediately noticed that he had reduced the vehicle price but increased the options I requested by, you guessed it, $1,500. All he did was move the dollars from one column to another. How many customers are treated this way, thinking they are getting a reduction in price while at the same time they are adding back the difference on something else. This results in the same out the door price. If I hadn't recognized the second out the door price was the same as the first quote I wouldn't have asked to see the previous quote. Unsuspecting customers would see the vehicle price lowered and assume everything else remained the same as the first quote. If the options were quoted at one price they should have remained the same on the second quote. This "slight of hand" trick was deceptive and a bad business practice. It only reinforces the perception of the sleazy car salesperson a lot of people have. And, this just confirmed that perception of car salespeople. Brent Berge's Riverview Toyota management should be ashamed of anyone in their employment conducting themselves in this manner. Instead of bragging about how well my deal went I will tell all my friends and colleagues of the actions done at this dealership. The two trips I made in one day, totaling about four hours was a complete waste of my time. I hope the owner of this dealership is listening. I know my friends and colleagues will. My advise to anyone wanting to purchase a Toyota to pass by this dealership.
