| - I started to go to Polecats because it was recommended by a friend. I was very out of shape when I joined. I was a yoga and LVAC (fairly/off and on) regular, and was finding myself less and less motivated. I was addicted to pole right away! The classes are so much more fun than a treadmill, and your classmates are so supportive. This is a great place to go, regardless of your fitness level or skill. Everyone is welcome! I was intimidated walking into my first class, but that feeling left in minutes.
It is really hard work, but totally worth it! I lost several pant sizes, and feel the strongest I have ever been in my life. I am not a tiny person, but i am so much more confident and loving of my body as a result of these classes. What speaks volumes for me is that I drive 30 min, 3 to 4 times a week, through 215/Decatur rush hour traffic to go to class...and rarely miss. Did I mention I have been doing this for over a year, while also both going to grad school and working full time? When you enjoy something, it doesn't feel like work, and it is easy to make the time!
