| - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
This was my first and last time here.
My mom was visiting me from 3 hours away and we decided to stop here while driving around exploring Charlotte. She saw it and said "Hey that seems convenient." There are a couple of salons placed right next to it. We had actually passed the location but quickly made a u-turn to go back. (Bad decision)
This place was great when my mom and I first arrived. . . We had a college aged young lady help us. She was very nice and got us exactly what we needed. She was very patient with us finding the exact color and textures that my mom was looking for... We joked about the mannequins and frowns on their faces and even talked about her college plans. She offered to take our items to the counter while we continued to browse the store.
About 10 minutes later, we asked the same young lady about the Mixed Chick products... She showed us that the MC products were in a case under the register and we got in line. My mom's hair was in corn rows and when we reached the counter the male cashier asked my mom if it was for her hair...
He looked at her hair and gave her a frown and said... "Is this product for you?"
My mom replied "Yes".
He continued, "You don't need that product. It's not going to work on your hair... It's only for mixed girls with fine hair. I have something better."
My mom asked him, "Will it make my hair curly like this product?"
He replied, "This is isn't going to work on your hair. I have other products that are less expensive and work better for your type of hair."
My mom assured him, "I already use this product. I know how it works. It makes my hair curly." (I had the product in my hair at that very moment so CLEARLY we knew how it worked.)
He insisted on arguing her down and saying, "No... I have products that will work better. " When my mom agreed to see what he wanted to show her... He was very nasty and rude and said " Oh, I'll sell you whatever you want but this product is really expensive ($20) but if you want to buy it then sure. I'll sell it to you. No please go ahead and buy it. I'll sell you whatever you want."
By this time my mom and I were hurt. He told us that WE were the ones with the attitude and we were being rude to him. I just looked at my mom and said... "Let's go." She walked to the door. But my mom is in no way mean, rude, ignorant or arrogant. So as she was walking away. I felt the need to defend her, I told him that we meant no harm, we weren't being rude, and that we only wanted to see the products that he said would work better. I asked, "can you show me the product that works?" He said sure.... When we walked over to the product, THEY WERE OUT!!!!!! WTH?!?!?! He told me that they had some other product that he could show me... SO I followed him around for a few seconds. He was walking around in a very nervous manner and not showing me anything at all.... By this time my mom had come back over to me. I followed him up and down the aisles and he still showed me nothing. I asked my mom if she wanted anything and of course she said no. I thanked him for his time and said "Have a great day" (I work in customer service so it comes naturally) he didn't respond, kept his head down, and we left on our way.
We were going to purchase about $100 in product (including the MC) but this guy ruined our entire experience. Do NOT spend your money here. There are plenty of other places from which to buy Beauty Supply products. If this guy treats all of his customers this way, we won't have to worry about this place for much longer.
