  • disclaimer: i'm from LA and we have some of the biggest festivals/fairs around. it was really hard for me to not compare what i am used to with the ostrich festival. definitely tailored to the youngins. petting zoo. animals that you can take a look at. or animals you can pay to look at. some kiddy rides as well. but of course there's only a little of each type. certain shows only take places at certain times. but most of them were occurring at the same time which kinda sucked cause i couldn't see what i wanted. i felt like it was kinda hard to navigate to the right area. there's your usual food vendors that sells burgers, hot dogs, etc. overall, the hubby and i felt like we spent a lot of money just for entry at the ostrich festival. we got a lemonade, used the restroom, saw a semi bird show, walked around, and some part of a horrible kiddy magic show. we decided to leave and explore other parts of AZ instead. if your looking to take kids here then it'll be a good festival for you. tips: *pack on the sunblock! *wear comfy shoes! *get the souvenir cup so you can go back later and pay a smaller fee for a refill. *lemonade stand offered samples. *there's more than one entrance you can pay to get in front. *plenty of parking spots but it cost five bucks. *tons of port a potties. *there were some type of deals/discount from Fry's.
