  • I would have written this right after my porchetta sandwich except my hands were so well lubricated from the delicious juices of the porchetta. I think it must be one of St Lawrence market's best kept secrets. If one just walks by casually, there's not an obvious sign of sandwiches available; it really looks like a butcher shop. I was thinking Sausage King could probably easily increase their take away sales with better signage. I've only had the porchetta sandwich, which is pretty terrific; nicely seasoned, to allow the "porkiness" to come out; juicy and served with tomato, lettuce & sauce. And I would like to add the smoked pork chop that they have has become a family favorite. Deliciously smokey, served with sautéed apples, they're perfect. The Sausage King is better than ever, under Olliffe's management.
