  • Worst. place. i've. ever. lived. ever. Where do i start? the last 5 months of my lease was complete hell. in my 1 year of living there, the property went through 3 managers. The current manager Caesar made living there the worst experience. First, in the middle of august, my a/c broke and was not fully fixed for 5 DAYS. When i asked if i could get money taken off my rent for the 5 days i could not stay in my apartment because it was 95 degrees inside, the manager treated me like i was crazy for requesting such a thing because there's an emergency maintenance crew i could have called and i told him i did not feel comfortable letting a random man in my apartment late at night, which was usually when the ac would go out. After that, i let them know i would not be renewing my lease because of that reason and after that, i got treated like complete sh*t by the manger and the maintenance crew, i felt like i was being watched by the maintenance crew all the time and targeted by management for things they could bother me for. For example, i left a spray bottle on MY balcony and got a letter saying if i didn't move it, i'd be charged $25.... anyways, moving day rolls around and i go into my apartment on the last day of my lease in the morning to get my remaining items AND THEYRE GONE. my designer backpack? missing. my pantry food? missing. my curtains? missing. i had not turned in my key yet at this point, which means the maintenance team entered my apartment ILLEGALLY. so i go to the manager and ask if anyone was in my apartment, he said "just for a second and then i told them to get out" which was a lie because obviously they had time to take my stuff. i made them return my stuff to me and the manager had the nerve to blame it on the fact that "the maintenance crew is mexican, they don't know how much these things cost" but wait. it gets better. supposedly my security deposit return got lost in the mail so i requested a new one to be sent and the manager told me there would be a $30 charge AT MY EXPENSE to get my money, which they were past the legal limit of 14 days to get it to me. I had to go to the corporate office and ask his boss Robert(who was very helpful) to send me a new check, which he informed me that there is never a charge to cancel a check... So i finally get my check and think i'm finally done with copper palms. i open the check and it's $100 less than what i was told i would get back.... what a joke. at this point i was so ready to be rid of Copper Palms so i just took what i got and left. i absolutely hated living here. the ONLY positive thing here is the ladies in the front office, they were the only consistent thing about this horrible complex and actually care about the people living here.
