  • Hubby and I were in need of a new (slightly used) car and specifically wanted a Chevy Impala. We saw there was ONE Certified Used Impala at AutoNation Chevrolet in Gilbert, which was the closest dealership to our home, and the price looked about right. We stopped by on a Saturday evening about an hour and a half before closing and were surprised at how busy they still were. No one bothered or even approached us. The first person we asked for help was Jermone, who also turned out to be a salesperson and helped us. He came across as very genuine, friendly, attentive and helpful, but not pushy in any way whatsoever. He even trusted us enough to let us drive the car alone while he worked on a sale for another customer. He didn't even ask to copy our driver's licenses or hold a card or anything! Wow! We ran out of time to actually complete the purchase (our fault mostly, as they couldn't do a credit check as we had a freeze on all our credit reports due to hubby having been compromised in that recent Equifax hack), but our salesman was extremely cool and gave us his business card and said to call, text or email him when we got that figured out. Even though Sunday and Monday were his days off, he responded immediately to hubby's texts to him late Sunday morning, and hubster was able to sign all the papers, make payment and seal the deal the next day through a sales manager without me even being present (I had church commitments all day). Jermone came in and worked for at least THREE HOURS that day on his day off! They even trusted us enough to give us the key to the car even though we weren't going to be able to take delivery until the following day. The only other interaction (besides the technician who refilled the car before our test-drive) was Cindy asking for a copy of proof of insurance before we took the car home. The whole experience was extremely low-key yet professional and rewarding. We certainly will think of AutoNation Gilbert again when we need another car. Thank you for a great experience!
