rev:text	Taking what's left of my head of hair to a real salon would be like handing a jar of Play Doh to a sculptor and demanding art. Why bother? So, I haul my pelt into one of the rack jobbers, ask for a quick buzz, and I'm back out faster than you can say Lebron's a Tool. SportClips just opened this, their second (franchised) location, after their "flagship" in Avon Lake. You think it might have a sports theme? Uh, yeah. Good luck thinking about anything BUT sports in this joint. It looks like it was designed by Dawg and Dawg, LLC, what with all the lockers, and tee-vees, and score boards. I seem to recall that the women cutters were dressed as refs. Curious. (I tried to sit, quietly, but the gal kept re-orienting my chair so that I was locked, droog-like, in front of a football game. "Isn't that simply delightful PBS History of Chalk special on," I didn't quite ask?) They have the system. Frequent ear-chopper cards. MVP head wax. You know the way these places work. "If you join our Bench-Polisher Club, you get thirty-five cents off any large jar of Patton's Kiss and Tell." Look. Cut my hair, I really expect to be back on the road in about seven minutes. Eight, if you want my opinion on professional sports. One nice touch: The cutters all seem to be well past their "experimental hair" phases. You know. Skunk stripes. Eight ball. Medusa's ugly sister. It kind of scares me, sitting in front of a woman whose OWN hair looks like it lost a bet. It's bad enough having a hairline that retreats faster than a lame-duck Democrat.
