rev:text	I called and purchased a system from an ADT authorized dealer (Defender's protect your home) 866-839-7848. No one tells you that they are not ADT, but they represent themselves as if they are. They offer a 100.00 rebate for purchasing the equipment. They are supposed to send you via E-Mail a form to complete to receive your rebate. I called them repeatedly and ADT and received the constant run-a-round. The system had a problem and ADT did send someone out and they did fit ix and tried to charge me a fee for it breaking. Did not even have it for 5 months at that time. I called again today as the battery that was to last 3 years in my outside alarm stopped working after 8 months. Again they attempted to charge me. Both times I was not charged after speaking with a manager. Had I broken something, I would have no problem paying for it, but in this case it was a battery with a 3 year life-span and a connection in my garage which we almost never use and is up high, so when the install was done it was to close and after a couple openings and closings it rubbed itself apart. You have a bunch of other options and I would suggest you chose them as they are less expensive and will preform better.
