I visited Pub 1842 before a concert to meet up with some friends for drinks and some food. To find the pub we relied on our friends to text us where it was located in reference to some other places we were familiar with, other wise it may have taken us a little longer. It was in the walkway heading back to the MGM garden arena.
Service was decent for our drinks and appetizers. We sat at the bar vs. waiting for a table, it was pretty crowded. Our food came out in a timely manner and we dove in. We had the 1842 nachos and the Hot soft pretzels.
Pretzel itself was good but the beer cheese with bacon and poached egg was lack luster. The egg was not noticeable in flavor and I don't think there was any bacon in there at all.
The nachos were your basic greasy mess all piled on top of each other, nothing to write home about.
While it was nice to meet up for drinks I do not find myself wanting to go back here, not for mediocre bar food.
