| - Whats the first thing I think of when I think of Pie Zanos? ...Disbelief.
This pizza, was and is, amazing. Some of the best I have ever had, and I've tried all kinds of pizza styles and in different parts of the nation and world. But I didn't hop on the band wagon as quickly as it may seem...
I normally shy away from 'create-your-own' kind of places, I'll just modify a dish I'm accustomed to every now and again. Because the complete freedom with customization thing makes me nervous. Forgive me for not wanting to think outside of the box! The last time I did that, I ended up with a funky kind of Mongolian Grill monster...and waste of 10 bucks.
Somehow here, I'm safe from making such horrendous tasting blunders. That's the magic buffer that is pizza. Because no matter what I toss on there, it comes out smelling and tasting fresh and fantabulous. I've had food from this location at least a few times now since its open, mostly brought home by the fam, only recently have I physically gone in and purchased my own (I'm a mooch sometimes, what can I say?). Still a little sad that it took the spot of Baja Fresh, but sometimes the old has to be replaced with the new, plus, I eat pizza way more than I do burritos and such.
Now the restaurant itself isn't much to look at, the chairs are pretty hard, and it looks like there still may be some decor updating in the works, but the pizzas and salads are superb! Its clean and the service is great and as quick as it can be for a freshly made personal pizza.
So if you're ever on my side of town or a local and want to grab a bite to eat, go here (Locals, check your mail for coupons) they have great deals going too. Just can't beat good food and saving a buck or two!
