On Monday (02/19) I called and set up an appointment, it was a quick painless process. I let the lady setting the appointment know I get off work at 5pm during the week and she said "no problem someone will come at 5:30pm on 02/20". At 3:45pm on 02/20 (day of the appointment) I get a voicemail from ServPro and promptly call back. The individual with a thick accent that answered said "I want to discuss the appointment you have with us today at 5:30... the receptionist is new and failed to mention there's a service fee for appointments after 5:30pm". He kept saying "after 5:30" but later in the call said there's a fee "after 5pm"... which is it?
...whatever. The receptionist being new isn't my problem. You can't call someone right before their appointment and say btw, we're going to charge you when we initially said the consultation would be free. I told him "I had to request time off from work to make this appointment" and he didn't care. To make matters worse, the bright individual said and kept repeating "anyway, you'll be looking at over 1k for repairs"... umm, how do you know what the charge will be when you haven't come to my house and I haven't even described in detail why I'm needing your services?...
Just poor customer service all in all... It's principle, you're supposed to honor what a representative of your company says... and trying to talk me out of the consultation using price scare tactics was just douchy.
