While we enjoy most Diamond Resorts and rate them high, we were a little disappointed in the penthouse villa we were in this week at the Cancun Resort. The room is in much need of upgrading. It was dark and needed much more lighting. Definitely not happy with the roaches in the kitchen. We happen to stay in an ADA room. The shower in the master room was an oversized jacuzzi tub that was very difficult to get in and out. We almost slipped a couple of times trying to get in. We had to request a step stool. The concern of any handicapped person, much less a normal person, trying to get in and out of this tub should be a priority of this resort. Also, the activities center needs to ensure they are communicating to all guests. Upon our check in, we were given an activities list by day. My nieces missed the all the Christmas Day activities because the revised holiday list was not distributed to all guests after the changes had been made nor did they make any calls. It is likely we would not be staying at this resort again in the future.
