Food that's worth the wait. Just like eating in NOLA, but MAYBE more delicious! I've been here a few times since I live down the street. I thought I've reviewed this place already as I've taken photos in the past, but here we go!
Food: Large oysters! You can do a split with clams. They give each guest bread when seated. Food ranges between $6-26, $50 for Seafood Jackpot. One entree is perfect for one, but you can always split it with someone or take half home if ordering other items to feast.
My Top 5:
1. Combo Pan Roast
2. Shrimp & Lobster Fra Diavolo. This one starts at 5stars of spice.
3. Cajun BBQ Peel & Eat Shrimp
4. Bouillabaisse
5. House Etoufee.
Spice: I usually get 2-3 stars because that's all I can stomach and I like to taste the food, BUT the Diavolo was 5 stars and was perfect!
About the wait*: The wait being anywhere between 30-minutes (when theres 2-4 people in front of you) to 2.5-hours (when the line goes a little past that first slot/Keno machine) standing. Great to go with someone so that you can switch spots with each other to go fetch drinks or take turn playing slots while you wait. There's always a wait no matter the time of day. I've only been on weekends or weeknights. The only time I didn't see a line was NYE 2017 between 9pm-12:10AM. It was weird.
*Make sure your party is present to be seated and all present to order. You can't order to-go unless you're seated. I THINK they close on Tuesday nights at midnight for a few hours to clean the entire station. I could be wrong. Maybe call ahead if you plan on going at that day or time.
