  • Organ Stop Pizza is a must for those who have never been, and for those visiting from out of town. You don't need me to tell you that, since you will undoubtedly be smacked in the face with elderly folks and oxygen tanks. Sometimes even tour buses full drop off. I suggest off-season visits. Parking can be atrocious, bit at least it's free. The vintage organ is visible both from the exterior and interior. The organist rises from the floor in a spectacular display. He takes requests and passes birthday, anniversary and other special messages. It really is a sight. Be prepared that it is really loud. Don't expect any semblance of conversation here. If I put my mouth directly near you ear, I bet you couldn't hear me. The pizza and accoutrement is substandard. This is about the organ and the novelty really, with a side of pizza. The young counter staff is mostly disinterested. Ordering is weird because pizza is separate from drinks, which is separate from ice cream. Really kind of a poorly thought out set up. Also be aware that when your order is ready, the light flashes your number on a Keno-style board on each side of the room, toward the balcony area. They don't explain it, so people get confused. If you get weirded out by picnic table, family-style seating, know that this is what seating is here. At times it is really hard to find a table, even on the upper balcony. Have family find a table before you get the food to alleviate some seat - finding stress. The tables have been varnished a million and a half times, so combined with the food residue, it's always sticky. But that said, even if you are a local and have never been, it is a spectacle that you must see at least once. Strike that. Not AT LEAST ONCE, ONLY ONCE. It's a one and done. Trust me.
