I signed up for an online special of $29.95/mo for 12 months. After I signed up I had a question and chatted with someone on their website. The guy said he needed to cancel my original request and submit a new one. What he didn't tell me was he was going to raise the price to $39.95. The people I'm speaking to now act like it would be completely reasonable for someone to pay more than the advertised price and that I'm in a contract.
This is the biggest shell game I've seen. It's obvious that they have records of conversations they are just playing dumb. This is the 3rd location I've had CenturyLink service and every time the customer service has been horrible. The lower price isn't worth the hassle. It's taken me 3x to figure that out (I'm stubborn) but I've finally learned my lesson.
Honesty is worth a lot. CenturyLink has none.
