PLRG is an upscale consignment shop. This review is mostly from a consigners perspective. I called in ahead to check brands they accepted and brought in some dresses for them to look at. The lady behind the counter Debbie told me that they accept "Banana Republic and up" and that they try to ticket items at 1/3 the retail cost. You fill out a form swearing your stuff is real, allowing them to destroy it if not, acknowledging the sale window (see below) and choosing from two different consignment accounts - if you choose to redeem what you sell for cash, you take a 40% cut of the sale. If you choose in-store credit only (and you can change account type at any time) then you get a 60% cut of sales to apply towards your purchase.
They keep track of you by name and they ask you when you go to ring up if you have a consigner account. If you do you can use your credit, or save it up for something else. If your stuff doesn't sell in 60 days they either donate it, or you must remember to go pick it up. I signed up for the 60% in store because they had some really cute things like sexy leather pants and vintage-y accessories and it kind of makes you feel like you're "shopping for free" but I like that I can change my mind andcash out at 40% if I want.
They just started accepting workout gear and they told me they are looking for lululemon and lucy gear. For jeans they want stuff you paid $125+ for. Seven, true religion. They are looking for free people, Ann Taylor, banana republic. This is what she quoted me. They also accept INC and Calvin Klein as well as even more high end stuff.
I've been to both locations & they both have really cute stuff, especially accessories. They posted a gorgeous Coach bag on fb and I snatched that baby up right away- just call and they'll hold it for you- it looked brand spanking new- out the door for $100 flat. I am totally sold on PLRG.
