  • Back Waxing: an unfortunate side effect of being male. Some guys are born wearing a sweater while others find the unwanted hairs multiplying as they get older. Either way, no one wants to look like a chia pet when they take their shirt off at the pool. I was due for a cleanup, so I decided to hit Idolize, who I've been using to thread my eyebrows for years. They just brought in a new waxer (the lovely Pauletta) and were running a special. How could I say no? Pauletta was polite and professional. She did her best to make you feel comfortable as she tore those gnarly hairs out of your skin. She explained her process as she went along, had a gentle touch, and it was as pain free as possible (remember, it is still waxing). Her eye for detail was fantastic because she made sure to get every last hair. Thankfully, I don't have to wax as often as my more hirsute brethren, but when I do I'll definitely be booking an appointment with Pauletta.
