| - HAIR is amazing. Ryan is a cut master, Kelli is a color genius, and management and service are on point.
I hadn't had anything done to my hair in over a year and a half, and decided spur of the moment to cut a considerable amount off and do an ombrè dye. I had some photos for Ryan but not an exact goal and trusted his plans for me. He was fantastic; not judgmental at all of my lack of hair care in the past year, didn't push products but was instead very accommodating to my minimal (sometimes non-existent) daily styling routine, giving me tips and walking me through different processes. He completely nailed the cut that I wanted (and gives the best hand massage), but I didn't feel too great with the color I had been given. I called the salon after I got home and explained how I was feeling, and they got me in first thing the next morning with Kelli to redo the ombrè. She's amazing; so cute and easy to talk to, completely understood what I wanted, and delivered beyond what I was expecting.
In addition to being completely understanding and accommodating, HAIR also has amazing service. You're greeted immediately by friendly staff, coffee or tea are offered upon arrival, it's cleanly and inviting, and I would honestly come in solely for the complimentary hand and scalp massages. They seem fantastic for kids' cuts as well. As I was in my first appointment, Betsy, another stylist, did two young kiddos' hair. She was amazing with them and they were super comfortable with her. The young girl walked in the door chanting 'Betsy! Betsy! Besty!' in elated anticipation for her hair cut.
The location of the salon is also ideal; tons of cute shops nearby and Trader Joe's across the street. I'll be coming back to HAIR as long as I'm living in Madison.
