  • I am very impressed with this asian market. For several reasons. The prices are very competitive, honestly I can get better pricing than in Chicago for majority of the products. Of course you will see a few random items here and there that are more expensive, but those are outliers. The store clerks are pretty good, no issues. I would 't say this place is massive, but it definitely is large for something in the middle of Illinois. They do have fresh produce(asian fruits and vegetables) and live fish at the back. Kung fu teas, hong kong noodles, frozen dim sums are all available here. The reason this rating is not 5 stars is that up in the front there are baked goods and some egg tarts have mold on them. They must have been sitting there for quite some time, in this blazing midwestern summer, they are bound to go bad if mot refrigerated. But I understand. Customers don't want their baked goods refrigerated they want them fresh. This is something the store owner and management need to figure out as far as what to stock, priorities and they will learn as the business grows. Picadilly liquor is attached to the market it's on the left if you are facing the store. Be careful exiting the market, prospect is a busy street and you are coming down at a slight hill since the store is elevated.
