Incredible, inspiring concert by one of the most inspirational men in the world.
We were actually here twice because he was sick last time, so we made
the extra trip to see him before his Vegas stint ended.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING voice and personality. It rang clear and loud.
His band is outstanding. The "million dollar piano" is the most amazing sounding piano I've ever heard - clear, crisp.
If you're willing to shell out more than $300 and score FIRST three row seats, you are invited on stage to be up close and personal with Elton John while he plays one of his songs. I think a backstage pass might be included for an even smaller selection of people. The Colosseum was a very good choice for the venue - beautiful sound system, cozy ambiance, and not a bad seat in the house.
The song set:
The Bitch Is Back
Bennie And The Jets
Rocket Man
Levon
Tiny Dancer
Your Song
Mona Lisas And Mad Hatters
Better Off Dead
Indian Sunset
Blue Eyes
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues
Philadelphia Freedom
Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
Hey Ahab
I'm Still Standing
Crocodile Rock
Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)
Circle Of Life
Some notes --
he does not do an encore
he does not sign / visit fans after but if you're in the front rows, he may high five/shake your hang while he leaves the stage
fun fact --
"Your Song" was the song that made him "big" and I cried when I heard him sing it. =*)
