  • Do Not Move Here! I remember reading the bad reviews and thinking that people were just being past bitter tenants. I am not bitter. This is true observations. The manager Gina is very nice, I have no issues with the staff or how we have been treated, but its not enough to overlook all the bad stuff. But trust me, please do not move here, especially if you have small children. It is unsafe with so many kids out and about and no supervision. The playscapes and community sitting areas are covered in bird poop all the time. They are roomy town-homes but very cheaply maintained. The cheapest of everything and only the bare minimum. My washer and dryer is so old, it is hard to find parts for. I was told this by the maintenance staff who also told me that this place constantly cuts corners. Constant issues with very rude neighbors. I have an Autistic son and he has been bullied by not only kids but parents and office staff as well. He was angrily confronted by a tentant and told he was too big to be playing on the playground (he is 13 by the way). He was accused of being "inappropriate" because he was playing with younger girls. One of those girls was his sister and a few 11 year old girls. She went to the office. The management interrogated him, took photos of him, and said they were calling the police. My son was traumatized and had to be taken to the hospital for an overnight observation. I have had to call the police because the kids here are so out of control. This place reminds me of the "projects". It is so bad, we are needing to break our lease and move this month. We just moved in in July. I have found used condoms on the grass in front of our apartment. Cigarette butts everywhere. The clubhouse and gym have been closed since the end of July for "renovation". I was told that the gym will be closed until January or February. They tempt you with move in specials you cant resist. That's why we chose this place over the others, because we moved in for less than $300. If these were around $900.00 per month for a 3 bdrm, maybe you could tolerate it but not for $1300 plus $100 for water (which they said would be around $45 when we rented the apartment.) You can go to San Melia Apartments or even the Sierra Foothills right across the street for the same price, or even less, than Verano. PLEASE don't do it. You will regret it terribly as do I.
