| - I was debating writing this review because I don't know how personal I want to get, but I give Dr. Ward's office a WHOLE HEARTED five stars.
I did research on several plastic surgeons in the area prior to setting an appointment with Dr. Ward. He had a very impressive website that was full of useful information, pictures and referrals. I was impressed with what I saw on his website more so than other plastic surgeons in the state.
When I called to set my appointment, Mary, the Office Manager, was EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful.
When I arrived I was impressed by the office. It was clean and had rich decorations. They have a nice sitting/waiting area and the bathrooms was clean and welcoming.
I went for my consultation with my boyfriend, and we were quickly taken back to a private sitting area filled with books of referrals and cards from happy clients as well as reading material on various surgeries. The room had several sizes and shapes of chairs, so you could pick what was comfortable to you.
When Dr. Ward came in he was open to answering as many questions as we had, and he provided us with his background and the average number of surgeries he performs in a week. Dr. Ward is VERY literal and to the point. We asked a question, he answered it. "Take it or leave it. If you want the surgery, here are the risks associated and here is my experience. The choice on whether or not you do the surgery is yours, but I am not going to try and sell you on it." Just the type of guy I wanted.
I decided to schedule my surgery about two months out. I received follow up calls checking in and paperwork in the mail as well as full pre-opp instructions.
When I went in for the surgery, I was really impressed with the surgery center that they used. I got a visit from the nurse, Dr. Ward, my anesthesiologist and the RN and every single one of them was friendly and informative. They explained the process and post-opp in full detail to make sure I completely understood and had all my questions answered.
The surgery was a breeze and my recovery has been EXACTLY what they indicated it would be. I had no surprises. Even the little tiny details like "get some heartburn medication because you will probably get heartburn."
I had an amazing experience with Dr. Ward and am really impressed with his staff and him as a surgeon. I am really glad I elected to have my surgery with Dr. Ward!
