As a beginning rock climber, I don't have much to compare it to. I thought it was a fun experience that I would definitely do again. The equipment was durable and safe and after watching a demonstration video, they personally showed you how to use it appropriately.
However, as soon as I walked in the door, I wasn't impressed with the unwelcoming staff. All 4 of the employees that I interacted with were not very personable. As a new climber, I appreciated any support and help if I was doing something wrong. Instead of handling the situation in a way that expressed support, they made you feel like an idiot.
While I would probably go back because it's close to my house and I enjoyed rock climbing, I'd rather drive a further distance for friendlier people that want to encourage you.
