I stopped by here since I was in the area despite hearing many bad things about the drinks. I still wanted to try it for myself.
They had many options on the menu, like many other bubble tea shops. There was limited seating with a couple 2-seater tables and the place was empty around 2pm on a weekday.
I decided to try the matcha milk tea with matcha tapioca and was pleasantly surprised. The matcha milk tea was slightly bitter and not too sweet (which I enjoyed) and the matcha tapioca was very chewy. The tea might have overpowered the flavour of the tapioca as I didn't notice the matcha in the tapioca. I got the plastic tall bottle for $1 extra as the cashier told me I would get $1 off my next drink. It was over $7 for the total. The drink was a little too large as it took a while for me to finish.
On the back of the bottle, you see the tea shop 168 logo which was a little disappointing considering tea shop 168 is a lot cheaper and you're basically paying more just for the boba boy branding.
I gave 3 stars because I enjoyed the drink, but didn't feel that it was worth the money. From hearing other people's reviews, I'm guessing that the matcha milk tea was probably one of the best items there and I'm not too interested in trying their other items so I wouldn't go back.
