Went in for a spot to be checked on my shoulder, received an 800$ bill in the mail a few weeks later. Dr asked if I wanted a full body screening. I was worried of cost, she said "might as well do a full screening because insurance covers it". She was concerned about multiple sites. Took biopsies of 6 areas. All came back fine. They need to be more clear about cost. They should Check with insurance first, then give patients a itemized cost prior to performing service that is going to exceed 200$. The billing department is also not helpful. Doesn't give info on who to speak to and uses scare tactics if you don't pay now, interest will accrue. A rep did call and ask questions, said she would get back to me after investigating. That was 2 months ago. Honestly, I had no issue with the doctor. It was the lack of communication of insurance and what's covered (billing, front desk dealing with insurance should inform Patients and doctor). I was really hopeful that the company would resolve this after calling a few months ago. However, there was no follow up.
