  • 3.5 On Friday, I had a #treatyoself day and went to The Ten Spot for a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax. I would have given this place a great review, but the quality of my mani in particular caused me to downgrade it. First, the good stuff. PROS: - Very clean and hygienic - Simple, bright aesthetic - Welcoming atmosphere - Friendly service and wonderful staff - Really loved Emma, who did my eyebrows and pedi (my pedi was amazing and my feet are so smooth and soft now) - Waxing was painless Now the bad stuff... CONS: - At the end of my mani, I was told to hang out for a bit while my nails dried. I was fine with this, but started to question it when 30+ minutes passed without anyone coming back to check on me. I approached the front counter and a manager apologized, so I forgave and left happy. It was a Friday night after all, and they were booked back-to-back. - What really caused me to downgrade my review, however, was that my mani chipped almost immediately. That night, the ends begin to chip off and by Sunday, chunks of the polish had completely fallen off. My nails also chipped and the edges feel rough today. After paying $50 for a mani, I expect a better job. - More expensive than other places (and I've had better mani's for less) Overall, I'm left kind of torn on this place. I actually enjoyed myself the entire time, but I'm extremely disappointed with my mani. My pedi looks great, my eyebrows look great, but my fingernails...I need to redo them tonight. As a result, I am not sure if I will return here.
