  • I hope that I never have to go back here. I came in because I was having a depressive attack and needed psych care immediately. The first nurse, Diane was excellent. It all went down from there. In the morning when the shifts switched I was treated horrendously, like I was a danger to everyone around me. The doctor was so awful to me, and threatened to hold me against my will for saying something I never even said. She TOLD me, a psych patient, how I was feeling, saying "you're getting angry" when I was just frustrated that she was saying untruthful things and threatening to 302 me if I didn't go to a hospital far away from where my fiancĂ© and I lived - if I went there, my fiancĂ© could not have come to see me. I begged for her to have the ambulance take me to Mercy instead, but she told they wouldn't do it for me even though it's closer, and never gave me a real reason why. I suspect they wanted to keep the money in their network. This doctor was incredibly insensitive and made my psychiatric condition worse. I recommend UPMC WPIC far more, they took care of me the next day and had compassion.
