  • I don' t mean to pile on with another single star review but in this case I think its warranted. This outfit really sets themselves apart in the Budget system with their utter lack of customer service and deceptive practices. I rent from Budget all over the country and they are generally a good economical rental provider but the Vegas franchise really stands out as being far far worse than any other Budget operation I've encountered. First of all, if you book online and think you've got a great rate don't count on it. On more than one occasion upon dropping off that coupon their website accepted is mysteriously gone from your receipt and you are charged as if you never entered it in your reservation. If you ask them about it at the booth or front desk they will simply say, "we're not corporate and we don't honor those coupons." So whatever deal you think you've got online don't count on it. I've never encountered this crap anywhere else. Second, as many other posters have noted they tend to make dubious questionable claims of damage upon return. I was a victim of this once (my CC covered it for $250) and the pics they sent me in the damage report was on the back side of the car even though the paperwork said it was in the front and it wasn't even for sure from the pics if they even had the right car. The final straw for me though recently I rented and I stupidly left a gate opener on my visor. I immediately called them after I realized I forgot it, got there voicemail system, pressed 8 for the supposed "lost and found department" and left all the information they requested. The message said they would call back within 48 hours to tell you if they found your item. I wound up leaving this message several times over the course of the next ten days and not a single callback. I know their customer service is lousy but I guess I was foolish to even expect a modicum of service. I eventually wound up out there again and I finally discovered their "lost and found department" is a box of old chargers and openers in the fastbreak booth. The attendant who was actually nice told me, "to be honest, most of the time even if they look the car over they'll usually just toss anything they find.". Thanks a lot Budget for your awesome service, I will definitely be remembering this experience when I am making my next Hertz car rental reservation in Vegas.
