| - I've been there a three times and they've been more of a disappointment each time. I went in a few months back and the girl who started mine just got up and started someone else's while my nails soaked for over 20 minutes. Then, a guy with filthy hands who was doing maintenance sat down working on them while the woman next to him told him what to do until someone else came over. WTH?! I swore I wouldn't go back, but was in need of a pedicure and was right there so stopped in yesterday. I'm normally not particular about who does a pedicure, but definitely wouldn't have the woman who did it again. She tried to push a manicure on me, which I didn't want because I'm trying to grow my nails some, she appeared annoyed, so she and the one next to her started talking about my nails. I don't speak Vietnamese, but I'm pretty intuitive. I know when you're looking at both of my hands and then at me several times, whispering, laughing and looking at me again, then moving your head around to look at my nails again...I'm being talked about. That's what has kept me from going to them regularly is it seems like a "judgey" group. They stare everyone down who walks through the door. Anyway...I told her the deluxe pedicure with regular polish. She asked if I wanted gel polish instead and I said ok. The $40 pedi then went to $55! I said you charge $15 more to put on gel polish? She said yes, so I said no! Ridiculous! $5 maybe...but $15?? She then cut the side of my toenail and kept clipping the cuticle even as it kept bleeding, I had to pull my foot back to get her to stop. It bled through the entire pedicure and on through the afternoon. She didn't put a top coat on and the day after this torture, the nail that suffered through the process already has the polish coming off. Pissed at myself for not wanting to be a jerk and gave her a tip anyway. Solemn swear this time...I won't return.
