I've ordered gelato from here twice now and can safely say I prefer the other gelato places in town such as Mixers or Gelatology (especially when it comes to Hazelnut or Nutella flavors). The flavors of what I have tried don't blow me away as much, but the texture of the gelato has always been very consistent. Maybe I'm just not trying the right stuff? Some turn offs of this place for me aside from the gelato are the lack of a line for ordering (customers can kind of just bombard the front and things can get confusing, and I have felt rush) and the way I was given my receipt on my last visit. I was told to just sign the receipt, but there was a tip and total field, which I completed. Then I asked for the receipt, and the guy repeated back to me "you want a copy of the receipt?" in a bit of a standoffish way, which made me suspect he might be doing something funny with my receipt. Probably just me being paranoid, but you can't be too careful nowadays. I need to save my calories for cheat foods that I'm really happy with, so if need of something sweet while at Downtown Summerlin, I think I'll opt for CREAM or something at ShakeShack in the future.
