| - Best apartment location in the city! We're so happy we decided to make this place our home. We were making a major change in life to move from the suburbs to the city and really needed a place to feel like home. It is quite obvious to me why this place is so popular.
The living spaces offer an open industrial feel with high ceilings and huge windows. Very bright and comfortable. I work at home, so I need the space to feel great during day and night. The kitchens are updated with marble countertops and stainless appliances. Beautiful kitchen and great for cooking and entertaining. Our place is two bedrooms and both are quite large. Nice to have 2 bathrooms as well since we have two kids sharing the place with us.
The other great thing about the Cork Factory is the common spaces. Really amazing areas in the lobby with comfortable leather sofas, pool tables, etc. And the outside patio feels like a country side patio with the city in the background. Pool, hot tub, outdoor grills, fire pit. Really wonderful. Weekly free happy hour run by the staff on Thursdays!
The location is amazing with the entire downtown area and theater district under a mile walk. We make that short trip over all the time. And of course the Strip area itself is right there with shops, restaurants, and bars within a very short walk. Parking available for a reasonable price in a garage on site. And the other Pittsburgh neighborhoods are right close by (Lawrenceville, Shadyside, East End, etc.).
The people at the Cork Factory are a big part of it for us also. Carmen is wonderful and it was very clear right away that she knows everyone. We really liked seeing how there was a connection between the residents and people like Carmen. There is 24x7 concierge support and they are very friendly and helpful. I'm amazed that every single person that works there is nice, friendly, and helpful. Really makes me feel at home there.
So happy to call the Cork Factory our home.
