This by far has been the worst move ever! I have not even been here for a week and already want to move out. I chose this building because of the convenient location to work and I would come visit friends here. The concierge staff Is by far the best they have made me feel more welcome than the people in the office; Even before becoming a resident they would always say " Hello Martina, Have a good day!"as I walked by the building so kudos on having an excellent Concierge staff. The first day I tried to unlock my unit and my key wasn't working and therefore I was locked out and had to wait an hour for maintenance to show up, which caused me to miss an IMPORTANT meeting and could have cost me my job. Aren't you suppose to make sure the keys work before giving them to a new move in? Also, as I was moving some belongings in a lady on my floor was letting her dog do his "business" in the garage because she's too lazy to walk the dog outside in the rain. GROSS! I had requested the freight elevator 3 days in advance so when my movers came it wasn't in the books so therefore this cost me an extra $700 because they had to wait because someone didn't do their job.
Now let's talk about the leasing staff in the office Jennifer, Dallas and Albert are great. Kali on the other hand seems to have an attitude and doesn't make me feel comfortable. I accidentally typed my account info wrong online and Jennifer understood and was letting me fix it. But Kali has been hassling me that I would need to get certified funds to pay our rent (I have a roommate so online payments would be easier) keep in mind it's Labor Day weekend so no banks are open. I have never had a move in where I had to inconveniently go to my bank, which is nowhere nearby to get funds out. So that needs to be adjusted. Also the amount due is wayyyyy higher than expected. Online it said "move in specials" and I have lived in gray star properties for years they at least have given me the first month free or waived app and admin fees regardless of who owned the building. Which in this case we shouldn't have to pay anything for the stuff we had to deal with. I don't think Fred Klein would appreciate how we are being treated, which is why this will be forwarded to his personal email to make sure the situation gets rectified.
