  • I am a huge fan of Caribbean Hut! I use to eat at the one on Tryon every week, so I know how the food should look and taste. After calling in my order 10 minutes prior to arriving, my food was ready upon my arrival. I headed back to work just knowing I was about to devour some deliciousness. I was truly disappointed as the curry chicken, looked and tasted NOTHING like true curry chicken. Curry has a pretty golden color. This curry chicken was orange in color, bland and tasted slimy.The rice and peas and plantains were dry. I expected more- more flavor! Note: This was my 2nd time at this location. The first time was when they first opened up the Woodlawn location some time ago. I gave them a second chance, because I hoped they had worked out the kinks. Unfortunately, not. I will continue to dine at Caribbean Hut because in my opinion, they have the best Caribbean food in Charlotte- it will just be at the Tryon location instead.
