I went to T-Mobile yesterday and switched over from Sprint. I got a Sony Experia phone and went with their 3 GB plan.
When I got home I worked out and noticed there was an issue with the phone when I worked out. The sound was extremely faint and I could not hear it well even after choosing optimal sound settings. Also, when I sent and received texts they would not be sent and received correctly and resulted in a few confusing conversations.
So, I took the phone back to the store the next day and spoke with the manager Mazen.
I told him the issue with the phone and that I wanted to return it. He didn't mention the $50 restocking fee and simply told me the cost was $65 for "sales tax."
When I told him that seemed very high and didn't make sense he then told me that they have to charge me $50 to re-stock the phone.
I told him I had just bought the phone yesterday and that I returned it because it wasn't working properly and asked him to waive the restocking fee.
He said there "was nothing he could do?" and that I would need to pay the fee.
So, I essentially had to pay $50 for a broken phone for 1 day.
As a new customer from Sprint this put a bad taste in my mouth
I would not recommend this store. Customer service is no bueno!
