  • For all of you jewelry buying ladies and engagement and wedding ring hunting men, I just wanted to share my experience with you all before you decide to buy from jared! I live in Las Vegas Nevada and have gone to the Jared's in best of the west on several different occasions. I'm taking it to the facebook page and Yelp leaving a public review because obviously speaking with a manager doesn't seem to matter where his employees are concerned. We've gotten numerous pieces of jewelry including my engagement ring from this specific store. We have a hefty credit account with them and going off by my last encounter we will not be doing anymore business with them. I went in yesterday afternoon, there's was a good amount of people when I walked in however, NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE ACKNOWLEDGED ME, INCLUDING THE MANAGER. For about 25 minutes this went on. Not even a hello. Or we'll be with you in a moment. Nothing. So I stuck around for a little bit because I was there by myself. I went in strictly too look at wedding bands. I did not have my fiancé with me. The lady that finally walked over asked what she could do for me and I told her I was just looking and wanted my engagement ring cleaned. While cleaning she asked when the wedding was and I made it clear it was still just under a year away. When she brought it back over to me we started looking at bands. Right away I was feeling pressure. I told her what I was interested in and what I wasn't. Her remarks about one specific ring was "what a perfect fit, what a coincidence" as well as some other less than passive comments which made me feel very vey pressured and angry. Then we went to a different section with other bands and I asked her to write down the ring information so I could see if I could find it online to show my fiancé. Her response was "oh you're not interested in buying it today." And I told her no. My fiancé is not with me and I'm not purchasing anything without him. Her demeanor IMMEDIATELY changed and she couldn't get me out of the door fast enough. I understand that your employees may make some commission off of what they sell. But your profit isn't made off one time buyers. It's made off of returning customers. As I said, we have an account with you guys so I am a returning customer. She then took the ring out of my hand and wrote down what she needed, never giving me a copy, and put the ring back in the case. I then asked for it again to see the size and how it looked one more time. She then told me it wasn't online and there was only one other one in Arizona so "she wouldn't sit on it too long if she were me." Then proceeded to tell me to just take a picture of it and send it to my fiancé and to get it if I like it. That was the last straw. I made it very clear I was not going to purchase anything without my fiancé. That being said, just because I wasn't ready to purchase something does not mean the way I was treated was warranted. I deserve the same attention and respect as someone purchasing another piece of jewelry that day. We will more than likely not be returning to purchase our wedding bands. No one should feel that kind of pressure when it comes to spending 100s and 1,000s of dollars.
