  • The Onyx Apartments are in a very convenient location, and they are in a security building including underground parking. The location is near the Strip, and only a couple miles to UNLV. The side facing away from Duke Ellington is quiet enough. There will be some airplane noise as this location is near the LV Airport. The staff are extremely professional and courteous. The Apartment is very nice compared to other apartments, and it includes tile floors, and carpet in the bedroom, stainless steel appliances with a washer-dryer, ice-maker/water in the refrigerator, double sink in bath, nice shower-head in the bathroom, blinds on the windows, there is a pool, jacuzzi, billiards table, exercise room with equipment, nice layout and lighting, Some units have a really nice patio or balcony with plants around it. There is also a BBQ grill and a sun deck with cushion chairs. This place feels like a four star boutique hotel, and while not "perfect," feels like a "hidden gem." The air conditioning works really well and yet the power bill was amazingly reasonable. Maintenance has also gone above and beyond with the only exception when there was an emergency in another part of the property which seems fair enough.
