rev:text	This review is for the parent/child classes for under 3s. Pros: It's a new facility and very clean. The changing areas are huge with plenty of dryers and space to change a little one. The instructors have been decent - enthusiastic and comfortable with small children. There doesn't seem to be too much crying in the classes, as if a child doesn't want to go underwater, they don't force him/her. Cons: The make up policy is awful. I understand that it must be complicated to handle makeups with staff schedules, etc, but most child-centric businesses allow as many makeups as you need as children get sick, or things come up that you can't plan for, or even vacations happen that you do plan for. But no matter the reason, you are only allowed one makeup a month. If you miss any other class that month, you cannot make it up, but can attend a free family swim session on certain friday nights in far south Charlotte. That doesn't equate to a swim session. Also, I didn't feel like they were keeping track of my kid's progression, as he was clearly ready to do a test or move up a level, but they never suggested or encouraged it when I asked although I guess I could have pushed the issue. But the class was extremely babyish and basic for 2-3 year olds with zero encouragement for them to advance or try more challenging moves for those who are ready. In two private lessons at another school, (that are half the price of Little Otters private lessons and equal to what I was paying with missing a class a month on average due to the makeup policy) my 2.5 year old is swimming on his own. Finally, the child/parent classes have 6 kids in them, with 6 parents in the water, so it was very crowded with only 2-3 minutes of teacher interaction per 30 minute class.
