| - 5 stars for the food, 2 for the service. The food was completely amazing, but our server just seemed 1) not excited to be waiting on just the two of us, when we were surrounded by other, larger parties and 2) not terribly concerned about the timing of our courses or getting us the bill. The wait for our mains after our salad course was at least 20 minutes, and it was another long wait for our bill after dessert.
When you're spending around $100 per person, I expect service to be just as transcendent as the food. Too bad. The ambiance was great (they opened up the blinds upon sunset so we could watch the sky), although the noise from the bar got super rowdy towards the end of our night. Not a big deal for us, but we were seated on the opposite side of the dining room from the bar, and could still hear the raucousness. I can see how other people might not appreciate that.
Again, food was delectable. (Gorgonzola mac and cheese! Perfectly med-rare filets! Butter cake, oh god!) Our waiter just seemed more concerned with literally everyone else in the dining room. Too bad.
