  • First off, the price of a pedicure is double what you'd pay at a cheap salon, so if you're really wanting a budget pedicure, this is not it. But here's why I think it's worth it. Backstory: I've been a little bit antsy about going for pedicures after an inattentive staff member at a budget place sliced the bottom of my foot with a razor blade, then had no idea what to do with my biohazard blood dripping everywhere into the foot bath. Cures might be more expensive, but there's no chance of them flaying you alive. To exfoliate dead skin they use a gentle electric foot sander while your feet are dry to ensure they can see that they're only taking off dry skin. The staff all wear charcoal filtered face masks to protect against inhaling your skin dust, the foot baths are not the hard to clean jacuzzi type that harbour bacteria, and they use natural polish. I was skeptical, but my feet are waaaay smoother than a regular pedicure where they use a blade or sanding by hand. As well, this was no quick and dirty pedicure. It took probably about an hour and 15 minutes, the polish is done perfectly. Staff are great and the facilities are immaculate. Overall, I think that the price probably reflects the true cost of having another person working on your feet.
